Love the electro cyberpunk feel of this album. Production, as usual, is smooth and absolutely flawless. Laura is a master at creating catching yet ambient melodies. Definitely one of the best synthwave artist out there, and it shows!

Fasten your seat-belt, kids. This release is a rocket that will shot you to the stars! It has hit me hard! After "Moving Space" and "Kyoto Dreams" this was unexpected - but very welcome! It has blown my socks off from first listening and on repeat since. The perfect soundtrack for a joyride to through the universe. Dark, Sexy, Futuristic, this is a different sound, compared to Laura's previously albums. Can't wait to spin the vinyl while watching the stars goes by.

Laura Dre: "AKARI LD-01" is my very own interpretation of what I envision and associate with 80s & 90s inspired cyberpunk / space / sci-fi / futurism / hacking. Just keep in mind that every other artist has their own style / influences. Mine are heavy on the sci-fi side of things aka 80s bladerunner synths and 90s trance / techno like the stuff you would imagine in Mass Effect. This combined with my Japanese & other asian instrumentation will invite listeners into an immersive cyberpunk universe of the 23rd century, perhaps into an underground techno club in Tokyo for lone riders, or perhaps you will find yourself joining the shadow runners in downtown Hong Kong. Which ever you prefer! The album has an eclectic mix of fast paced club music to mid-tempo tracks. Hope you enjoy it! :)

I don't know what it is, but in DWTD's discography this record really stands out to me. Picking a favourite track is difficult because all of the songs sound incredible to me, but POISON is probably the most fresh and energetic song in my opinion.
